A BILL to amend article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
nineteen, relating to authorizing the ethics commission to
promulgate a legislative rule relating to lobbying.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
nineteen, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 9. AUTHORIZATION FOR MISCELLANEOUS AGENCIES AND BOARDS TO
PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-9-19. Ethics commission.

The legislative rule filed in the state register on the
nineteenth day of July, two thousand two, authorized under the authority of section two, article three, chapter six-b, of this
code, relating to the ethics commission (lobbying, 158 CSR 12), is
authorized.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Ethics
Commission to promulgate a legislative rule relating to Lobbying.
